MAKING AN IMPACT
In order to foster a thriving planet - we need a new kind of leadership.
Leaders who are realistic, relevant and raw earth empaths. Leaders that understand the true impact of their power, and that has the ability to use it well.
The Arctic north, with its majestic mountains and northern lights, is the foundation for North of Impact, but also the inspiration for our leadership trainings. The polar night is full of light, serve as a mentor for what we can all create from darkness, if we have the right tools. The will to share these tools for true impact, combined with the passion of mountaineering created the quest for spreading transformational leadership.
In our training sessions leaders develop through the unique combination of challenging discussions and experiences in nature that both inspire & train the skills we need for impactful leadership.

FAQs
WHAT FRAMEWORK OR THEORY IS THE LEADERSHIP TRAINING BASED ON?
The leadership training is building on common leadership models, coupled with updated resilience research and regenerative business modeling. To enable the transition we need in a strategic manner while also technically be able to measure its impact the training contains a mix of theoretical and practical training.
Why do you train people in nature?
Our current leadership has created a world where we are separated from nature, and taken our most important decisions away from the very grounds we lead on. We argue that this has gotten us dangerously close to irreversible negative tipping points, which if passed will undermine the very enabling conditions for life on earth. We believe that the way forward is not to ignore the situation we are in but to explore how leadership in a transformative age can and should be. The best way to connect to these leadership principles is to learn from nature herself.
HIGHCAMPS: how much touring experience should i have?
For the winter Leadership High Camps we expect that the participants have basic touring experience and skiing or splitboarding abilities to manage different types of snow conditions in off-piste terrain. The physical condition of participants should be at a level where one can comfortably run for 5 km without stopping. This is to make the group coherent, which will secure an enjoyable and safe experience for all.
IMPACT HIGH CAMPS:
The North of Norway is absolutely stunning in the spring, and the impact high camps are positioned here to share this incredible region with international leaders. The camps are organized together with Mikael af Ekenstam, a renown guide and creator of several guidebooks for the Narvik and Lappland regions. The high camp format is based on several years of experience with facilitating trainings, camps, meetings and thinkthanks in the mountains. We usually stay in comfortable huts or refuges, where full board is provided.
MINDFUL LEADERSHIP: HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE TRAINING?
You do not need to prepare anything, and no prior knowledge of meditation or mindfulness is required. The training is intended to welcome you into a state where you can start the journey to find your own practice, and explore how you can use this in your leadership. Simply by sharing the silence and joining the mindfulness we build grounds to enable each an individual path towards meditation and contemplation - and from there we bridge towards individual ways of using this in our leadership.
DO I NEED TO BE C-SuITE TO JOIN THE TRAININGS?
To increase impact - and to enable transition in time - we are targeting leaders to reach broadly in society. However, it is just as important to reach community leaders, spiritual leaders, and leaders from the public and NGO sector, or others having a platform to use for enabling resilient, transformational leadership. So, short answer is NO.
