“A welfare crisis is on its way to Norway - and no, it's not about a decline in activity on the Norwegian continental shelf. The tax package for the oil industry has been allowed to have a downward effect on investments in renewables, and has so far only contributed to the oil sector not having to cover its own costs. Households and small businesses on land are left with the bill. If the government doesn't realise this soon and put the lever in reverse, we will only see even higher inflation and increased costs for electricity, food and capital.”
